White burning effect on metro last light, Display problems?

Hello, I recently got metro last light for my macbook pro. I was very excited when it finished downloading and I thought that I was just going to casually play the game. This gaming session was intterupted by a weird white buning effect after booting up the game. I saw that all of the cutscenes worked just fine. The main menu was covered in this white burning effect though. I was really dissapointed and I would very much like some help fixing the game.
