Q: Bluetooth pairing. iPod-iPhone-MacBook Pro

Hello, I cannot connect my iPhone 5s to either my MacBook Pro or my iPod touch. These are all discoverable. What is weird is my iPod and MacBook pair just fine. The brand new iPhone won't even come up on the iPod device list just the MacBook however the MacBook and iPhone won't pair. This needs to be solved I am within my 14 day trial and will return and buy a CHEAPER android... I honestly hope you realize how angry I am with a 700$ phone. Fix it.

IOS devices are not meant to pair with Macs as file transfers over Bluetooth is not supported.

You can create a personal are network for internet sharing.

I am intrigued by your comment that iOS devices are not meant to be paired over bluetooth with Macs.  Do you have an Apple reference for this statement?

What I want to do (and used to work) is to access internet via my Mac's WiFi and then share this service via Bluetooth to my wife's Mac and to our iOS devices.  Use cases - when you are paying for one WiFi connection in a hotel, coffee shop, or as I am now, up in a plane and want to share with my family.

Please no lectures about the ethics of this choice.

    Thanks!
