Macbook pro 15 inch speaker grills dirty?

My 15 inch macbook pro with retina display's speakers have recently gotten dirty, making them quiet and muffled. The microphone also suffers from poor quality as a result, because it's under the speakers. How can I safely clean them?

gently use canned air as you use a NEW AND DRY toothbrush to clean out the speaker grill holes.

while doing this, cover the keyboard with a soft dry cloth to keep same dust from getting under the keys.

consider buying some cheap $1 store toothbrushes for this, very cheap toothbrushes work better than quality good ones

You can buy a 10 pack for $1 usually.
