Q: I bought a video in 2008. I have all of my purchases since then except one video. Do they expire? Why would this one video be missing from my list of iTunes purchases?

They don't expire, but if it's a film then not all studios allow their films to be redownloaded, and content providers occasionally remove their items from a country's store. If it is still in your country's store then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

I had purchased Poltergeist 2 about a year ago. It too dissappeared from my purchases for about seven months and then it reappereared in December. I only noticed it because I was misssing the copy on my computer so I could not watch the movie.

I noticed it was no longer in my purchases when the movie was available only for rent which it still is today.

Thanks guys. Couldn't figure out what happened, so customer service just gave me a credit to re-download the same video again. Their records did not reflect my purchase from 5-6 years ago. Just a weird deal, but I'm good for now, unless others start disappearing...to be continued.
