When I import into iTunes I only get first few seconds of each mp3 song!!?

Please Help. I am having a very strange problem importing mp3 files into iTunes. Whenever i import my mp3 songs or files into itunes i only get the first few second (13 or 14 sec)of each file, i've tried copy and drag, import file, import folder, changed files names, location, nothing seems to work!!.
i'm currently using iTunes ver. 6.0.5.20, my library has approx. 5.98GB of audio and video. This is weird because my songs used to import normally, but now i'm trying to import smaller mp3 files that are 250-350 KB, are they too small to be recognized ??
PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES!!

What did you convert these to MP3 with?

actually these are original mp3 audio files from a japanese language learning flash card program, so each file reads a card, therefore, they are brief and only last for 35-45sec per mp3 file, they are 91 files in total, when i drag the list of files into iTunes, only the first 3 files seem complete the rest are only 13-14 sec, even when i copy each file, after the first three, it still gives me only 13 sec!!, renaming the file doesn't change a thing too,
i checked the properties of each file, they have similar stuff, they are not protected and bitrate varies from 160-192kbps, other values seem normal, and i've never fiddled with them, is it a bug with iTunes? because a couple of friends had the same problem and told me it is ver.6, others have gone with ver.4 earlier and said it had fixed the problem.....
I'M STILL LOST!!!!=(

When I import into iTunes I only get first few seconds of each mp3 song!!?
