Error 3 does not seem to have an explanation or remedy.
iPhone 4S is malfunctioning. iTunes restoration is blocked by Error (3)--for which no explanation or remedy is offered. I have reluctantly disabled all Apple security. Verizon Wireless store has tried unsuccessfully to restore the phone.
