Transferring iphone data to itunes on new pc when old pc is dead

HELP!!

Old laptop died and all my info, music, pics etc is saved on my iphone 3GS.

I have icloud, but that only stores purchased content, not anything manually put on from cd's, audio files.

How do I update the itunes on the new laptop with all the content from my iphone?

Without losing my pictures, music that I took ages loading from cd's etc..

I don't want to pay loads for a program that might work.

Apple must have a way of doing this in this modern time of age?

All I want to do is update itunes with my iphone content, not share it with outside programs.

PLEASE HELP

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very reason.

Use your backup copy to put everything back.

And how would I do this?

So you're saying that without a back-up of my old laptop stored on an external hard drive, that

Apple has no way of allowing an Apple product to sync its content with an Apple itunes program?

thanks tt2.

Shame there are no FREE programs that can do this without any limitations.

It seems really stupid in this modern day that Apple cannot achieve a simple operation for its customers to enable them to use their player to share ALL its content with itunes.

It is not Apple (or anyone else's responsibility) to ensure that users backup their important files.

Take responsibility for your own posessions and backup your data.

A small investment might be worth while, but if you have no budget at all start with the last entry in the table. If you can extract the media files the two scripts listed above that can recover stats and playlists.
