Importing Sheet Music

I see a lot of questions about printing sheet music from GB, but I'm curious: does anyone know of anyway to scan or import sheet music INTO GB?

iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

The problem would be do convert a scanned document of sheet music into a midi file. There's a couple of programs that allegedly do this - I haven't tried any personally. You can take a look here:

Christoph,

Thanks very much for both of these. They do seem to fit the bill. It's odd but I tried Googling for this type of software and ended up in all sorts of places, but nowhere near what I was looking for.

I googled for ocr midi sheet music mac, and possibly ocr was the magic word that narrowed down the search. If you do it by yourself, you might find other sources. Glad I could help!

Y'know, it never occured to me that I was looking for OCR software, even tho conceptually that's what I knew I needed. D'Oh! 🙂
