How do I move a non-purchased song into a favorites folder?

I have a number of songs I've ripped from CD's. If I go into my Purchased folder, I can drag these to other favorites folders. However, when I go into just Songs, I don't seem to have a way to drag these to a Favorites folder. Any idea?
