I downloaded Aperture but it does not support the Nikon D600 NEF format which renders it useless. Am I missing something??

Nikon D600 NEF format comes up as an unsupported format on preview. am I missing something or is the compatability list in support incorrect?

Hi Dr. Mac,

I checked the support tech spec before purchasing Aperture to make sure it would do the job. Unfortunately, It doesn't seem to support it at all.

I'm beginning to whish I had stayed with trusty old Photoshop, I only changed because I have moved to Mac and I was not best pleased by Adobe's new rent a program policy.

Anyone else able to help?

Are you looking at images that you imported to Aperture previous to upgrading to Aperture 3.5.1 and Mavericks?

If so, select the "unsupported" images and tell Aperture to reprocess the originals, and they should be rendered fine.

It is always necessary to tell Aperture to re-render photos if the underlying RAW converter has changed. It won't do it automatically in the case of a camera that eventually becomes supported.
