Stuck on "Create a Computer Account" on new MacBook Pro

I bought a brand new MacBook Pro and it stuck on the "Create a Computer Account" section during the setup. The wheels just spun and nothing happened. I tried rebooting and using a new account name several times.

I took that first one back to Best Buy and they said it must be some kind of bug. They exchanged it for a brand new one, which I currently have. Now, this one is doing the very same thing as the first. It's stuck on this same spot.

Am I doing something wrong? Does it usually take several hours to set up an account? Or is this another bug in this laptop?

That's weird. I'm not sure if your MacBook is trying to connect to the Internet but it hangs. Have you tried to let it spin for a while?

Just a guess as I've never heard of this before... are you using any strange characters in the account name?

Oh yes...I let it spin for three hours last night. I've tried at least three different user names and new passwords.

No strange characters. It's pretty simple. It's just weird that this is the second brand-new laptop this is happened with in the last 24 hours.

Found this on another site... maybe worth a try.

I also had this problem. Third time I skipped the "iCloud" sign-in and everything worked as expected.
