Some photos not synching to Photostream?

Over the last week photos I take on my phone are not synching to Photostream. The synching is working with photos taken on my iPad or my wife's iPhone...both of which sync to the same Photostream account. I didn't change any settings on my phone that might have caused this. Any ideas? I don't want to turn off and on Photostream if I can avoid it as I will lose all my old photos older than 30 days on my Photostream album on my phone. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply however I had seen most of these posts before and tried various things....to no avail. I'm logged into iCloud, Photostream is on, battery greater than 20%, camera app is closed, etc. I've just taken another test photo on my Phone and it's not uploading. Any specific ideas? Thx

I am having the same issue and it stinks! I must take a few thousand photos a year and I rely heavily on photostream to get photos off my phone to my Computer for me.

For some reason some of the photos just do not sync. I reviewd all the caveats in the links above and I have tired / determined to following.

  • Turned off photstream on all my devices then back on one device at a time.
  • tired shooting in various modes
  • made sure I was accessing wifi and internet when shooting.
  • All deivces are latest iOS and Mac Os and versions of all software.

I think it's a problem with the service and iOS7.x

Pretty much looks like we are all having problems with icloud. I have deleted and re-installed on my PC 4 times and some issues get fixed each time, but on my iphone 5 it has stopped uploading photos and seems to get worse day to day.

Both my iPad and IPhone 5 are now almost worthless to me after the iOS 7 update...... I use both devices for bussiness as well as, I have bought 3 other iPhones and 2 ipads for employees right before the iOS 7 update.

I made the jump after owning and iphone 1 and switching back to a windows phone for a short time and then tried an iphone 2 and never lookded back. I have owned 5 iphones over several years and many for my employees.

After fighting iOS 7 issues and icloud isses for the past few months I am done!! I have come to the decision, that it is time to move on from apple products. Between the icloud issues and difficulties with outlook compatibility, I am now very disappointed in my apple products. Ebay, here we come, cheap iphones and ipads for someone else!

Anyone have suggestions as far as windows or google phones and tablets?

Yep... it looks like it is one of Apple's frustrating silent bugs that they will never admit to until it's fixed (which considering how long this has been going on, looks like never).

However, before we all ***** about apple, it would be hard to say that Google and Microsoft are any better.

And while there is this issue (whcih seems to me to be related to the iPhone itself... not iCloud or Photostrea as a concept, because that works really well), I can say that iCloud (and even MobileMe before it) is without a doubt the best sync solution I have ever used.

So, I can't really recommend another solution.

But Apple... please... recognise that there are a large number of people with this issue... and please fix it.

The solution I offered (but was removed by a forum admin) works fine so far and I and still getting intermittent omissions in my stream after upgrading the OS on my phone.

I feel like it's a problem w/ iOS7 since I never had these problems before. I feel liek there must be some tagging either in the files onthe camera themselves or in a datebase somewhere that records wether the file has bene uploaded.

Somehow that information is being falsely recorded and files just don't go up no matter what.

The solution I am using comes with 2 fre GB of storage and works on multiple devices and rhymes with pop-rocks!

I am having a similar problem. I have 3 devices synced via iCloud to my 4S photostream. I am running the latest OS for the phone due to the bug fix last week.

There are over 400 photos in my stream.

My PC will only download 130, my iMac and Air laptop will only download 340. The oldest 80 or so that I see on Photostream on my iPhone do not download.

I understand that there are age/date issues whereby Photostream will drop your oldest photos, but I would have thought that if they were on my phone still and also in Photostream that they would be eligible to download.

Also, when I look at the content/image numbers on my photos that are saved on Photostream, it does not seem to upload all of my photos. There are many that are missing.

I had a major glitch with my iPhone 4S last evening and it wiped ALL of my photos (about 3000) so all I have left are these ones on Photostream. I would like them to download!

thanks

That is an interesting observation!! I was trying to figure out why only some of my images made it to Photostream and that might be the reason. Very very strange.

I have problems syncing across a few computers. My PC has just stopped altogether. Pretty useless as a method of storing images to the cloud as it is completely unreliable and inconsistent.
