iPhone 4 not charging or showing up in iTunes.

My iPhone 4 doesn't show up in iTunes anymore. It launches iPhoto but not iTunes. Also, it will only charge intermittently on an HP PC. When connected to any other charger, its home Mac or another Mac I get this message - "Charging is not supported with this accessory". I've tried several different cables and rebooting as well. Haven't updated iOS yet after hearing many horror stories from people who did with older iPhones.

I think I solved my iPhone 4 problems. Mac OS X v10.6 has issues with iTunes not seeing iPhones. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3540

Followed instructions from above link then installed latest version of iTunes. Restored my iPhone which updated the firmware and software. iTunes now sees my iPhone and my iPhone is charging from my Mac as well as from a wall charger. Hope the fixes hold!
