the right scroll bar is missing

Hi, I have a new MacBook Air and in both my Safari and Chrome (sorry) the right scroll bar is missing on every webpage. Please help me to add it back.

In my Safari preferences>general, there is no "show scroll bars". (image below)

Scroll bars have been changed since 10.7.

They are hidden until needed (by default) and no longer have arrows. They are a very narrow "line" that appears at the right of any page or window that needs them.

Check the settings in the General tab of System Preferences for your options.
