Q: i created two partitions from my mac hdd and now the third partition bootcamp does not boot up to run windows i cannot run windows on bootcamp can someone help me correct the problem

basically i  had two partitions one with windows labeled bootcamp and one with mac

 

when i created a third partition for some reason i cannot boot windows when it restarts it says no bootable disc found please insert cd/dvd to boot

 

how do i sort this problem

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), serial number C02HF07GDV7N

    First of all, Boot Camp is not designed to work with three partitions by default, so what you did was a bad idea because you probably damaged Windows.

     

    If you want, you can try reinstalling Windows. Insert the Windows DVD, hold the C key while your Mac is starting up and point the Windows installer to the Boot Camp partition. Finally, Windows should be starting up again. If not, remove the partition you created and add its space to the OS X partition (if Disk Utility lets you do it) > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU4.html
