We got my daughter and son new phones, and now I have lost a bunch of the contacts on my phone. My settings say that syncinc is occurring, but clearly it's not! Why isn't it syncing properly with my Outlook contacts on my MacBook Pro computer via cloud?
Use separate Apple IDs on each person's device. Settings > iCloud is where you need to have unique Apple IDs. This is how Contacts are synced, and if you and another person use the same Apple ID on your phones, then your Contacts can get merged, switched, etc.
