Q: can i air play music from my phone to apple tv

Hi, Im new to this but I have just bought an apple tv and I was wondering if I could airplay music from my iphone to it?

Indeed, you can use AirPlay to play audio content from your iPhone, and AirPlay Mirroring to play video content from your iPhone.

    Ya it nice to use the air play but why not make everyone's life easier...

     

    First you have to turn on the Apple TV using the remote provided or using the remote app on your phone.

    Then if you want to change the playlist, or artist you have to go into the music app.

    Lastly you have go to the Control center and select the device to airplay too.

     

    Why not make an airplay option in the Music app that also turns on the Airplay device you want. That way you don't have to switch between 3 apps.
