iPhone4 dropped wifi and will not reconnect

iphone4 will not reconnect to wifi.

-wifi on this device has worked with this and other wireless routers.

-tried turning wifi on/off; forgetting network; hard reset, all to no avail. the spinny wheel next to the network name just keeps on spinning, no check mark. password is correct. iOS is latest update.

-tried resetting wifi router; changing password... Firmware on router is latest update.

Still nothing. Other iOS devices work on wifi. PC works on wifi. Just this device wont work.

Took the device to the local Genius Bar. The device worked on their wifi with no problem. Brought it back home, device does not connect to wifi - same problem.

Any ideas?

Update:

After a week of the iphone4 not being able to connect to this wifi, it suddenly connected without any action being taken. So, great problem solved, right?

No, not so great. Now for some reason my iphone5 will not connect to this wifi. Same symptoms as with the 4. It will connect to other networks, but not this one. Other devices are fine.

There are not very many devices connected, AirPort utility shows 7 devices connected, but with only the address, i cannot tell which is which. wifi devices: iPad(1), iPad air, iphone4, iphone4, iphone4s, iphone5, PC laptop, PC laptop. Wired devices: router, smart TV, satTV box.

This clearly appears to be a problem with the AirPort extreme. Any ideas?
