Can't run Logic pro x on old 2007 macbook, now I can't open my old version of logic 8 without a serial number.

Hi people, I can't figure out how to get back to my old version of logic pro 8. I bought logic pro x but my old 2007 macbook running Snow leopard can't accept it. I thought I could go back to my old version of logic, but it won't open without a serial number which I don't have. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The App Store doesn't allow the purchase of Logic Pro X on a machine that doesn't support it. You did use a different computer to buy it?

The Logic 8 serial number was part of the package, one of the pieces of paper that came with the manuals. Your try to run Logic Pro X doesn't do anything to an existing Logic 8 or 9 installation. Nobody here can help you with a missing serial number.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I have a newer macbook pro which I bought Logic pro x for. I tried to install it on my old macbook, because I use that as well, but it didn't accept it. I was using logic 8 with no problems until this, and now it wont let me in, just says enter serial number. I can see it is still there, in the applications folder. Is there any way to clear the data which is stopping me getting in?

Many thanks.
