Copying tunes to a CD?

I like to download tunes to my library. I copy to a playlist & burn to a CD to listen to in my car. When I download a new tune,

I make a new CD. All of a sudden, the CDs won't play. I looked at the small print in iTunes & it says that I can only make 7

copies of the tunes. It's not like I'm giving them away. I'm just using the tunes for my own enjoyment.

Yesterday, 1/3/14, I downloaded an entire album. I copied to a CD & it will not play on any of my devices.

What's up with that??
