limit number of messages mail

On new 5C I found 384 Mb of mail loaded. This is using up my data plan.

On an IMAP account like iCloud how do you control how much is downloaded?

I read that you used to be able in IOS 6 but they removed this!!!!!

This makes no sense.

Thanks

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.4

Hello annateri,

In iOS 7, you have multiple options for controlling Mail's use of your connections. One option is to disable Mail's ability to use your cellular connection, only allowing it to utilize WiFi connection. The other would be to decrease the frequency with which it checks for new mail.
