Q: Photostream and iPad Help

Hi all. Recently my iPad Mini was stolen. Our car was broken into and on my iPad i had over 2000 photos that i had taken professionally on a SLR Camer (also stolen). I had never set up photostream because i was never able to delete pictures off it. I have a password on my iPad also. I would like to know if there is any way at all that i can set up my iPad from my computer since i can log into iCloud.com and see my status and everything. If i can set up photostream from my computer so that when it connects to internet it can transfer my pictures. These pictures mean a lot to me so i really cant afford to lose them. Even if i could not set up photostream and turn it on on my ipad from the computer would a Apple Team Member be able to do something like this. Also can an iPad connect to the internet if it is locked. Thanks.

iPad mini Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.4

Unfortunately photo stream cannot be turned on remotely, by you or Apple.  If you backed up your iPad while the photos were still in the camera roll, restoring the backup to a replacement iPad would recover them.  If you didn't, the photos are unfortunately gone.

The iPad can connect to the internet if it's locked only if it is connect to an external power source such as a charger.  When it's locked on battery power, wifi is turned off to conserve the battery.
