my macbook pro 13 mid 2012 doensn't go to sleep when i close the lid

Hi, the other day i open my mpb mid 2012 for upgrading my ram, everything was ok , but when i closed it i notice that when i close the lid nothing happen. The apple remain on and the mac continue to work even if there are no apps opened. It is possibile that i touhed some sensor when i open it? if i click the power button it goes in sleep mode normally.

I understand that your MacBook Pro is not sleeping properly. According to the following article, this symptom may indicate that an SMC reset may be necessary:


Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

After performing normal troubleshooting, these symptoms may indicate that an SMC reset may be necessary:

Power

The computer doesn't respond to the power button when pressed.

A portable Mac doesn't appear to respond properly when you close or open the lid.

The computer sleeps or shuts down unexpectedly.

The battery does not appear to be charging properly.

The MagSafe power adaptor LED doesn't appear to indicate the correct activity.


See the above article for steps on resetting the SMC, and what to do prior to the reset.

You may also find this as a good opportunity to reset the NVRAM:
