Need more space when a make my windows partition

Hi I have 50 GB free on my SSD on my MacBook Pro. I want to make a Windows boot camp partition, however bootcamp it will only let me use 31gb of my hardrive.

there is 18gb left. is there a way of getting more space when I make the partition

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

You need to delete some things or move them to an external drive if you want more space. Leaving nothing free is going to cause you a lot of problems as you won't have any room for the system to write temporary files.
