IPad Air Screen Book Spine Issue

Hi, I'm the new owner of a iPad air. I've had to go thought an exchange because the first one had what is called the "yellow tint issue" on the left hand side of the screen. My second Ipad has now the book spine issue, and that is what I would like to discuss with you since there's already a thread about the yellow tint issue. The book spine is basically a dark shadow effect about half inch wide on the left side of the screen (portrait mode). It look like there's not enough light that reach this part of the screen. My screen is perfectly white with the exception of this narrow dark border.

What I would like to know is: Are their any other user who are concerned with this and what did you do to resolve this issue?

Are their any other user who are concerned with this, did you go through an exchange because of that? If yes has the issue been resolved with your new unit? Have you learn to live with it? How wide is the dark part on your unit? I'm starting this thread in the hope that I'll maybe find someone who was concerned with this and is now satisfied with his new units to see if it's worth it to go again to the apple store.

Have the same thing! It's an exchanged unit, replacing one that had the multi-colored screen--pinkish in top third, and split keyboard showing yellow on one side, white on the other.

It's not too bad on the replacement and I figured I could live with it... and maybe I still can, but at some low level, psychological level, it makes me less interested in using the Air! It's especially noticeable on Safari screens where, say, the NY Times has white borders around their stories. Only the left-hand side isn't white, but has a grayish shadow!

I, too, would like to know if there are units out there without the book spline shadow or, if this is inherent in its design!

Even on the replacement, the keyboard seems slightly yellower on one side, but that's not an issue!
