Q: id for internet access

I purchased a smart tv and in order to access the internet features I need my id for my server. I have a modem via my cable company TWC but I guess my time machine is my server?  Not sure about the id. Is this my apple account id?  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi

". . . I guess my time machine is my server?"

    No it isn't.

". . . is this my apple account id?"

    No it isn't.

I'm guessing the account ID is for the PayTV section of the internet features that TV supports. Re-read the guides that came with it very carefully as well as either contacting the TV manufacturer (Panasonic, Sony etc) or the store you bought it from and ask them the question.

    HTH?
