first off you need to know what you have - the OS version is in about thie Mac under the Apple menu - the iPhoto version is in about iPhoto under the iPhoto menu when iPhoto is running- of in the info window if you select the iPhtoo application in the finder
In the App store there is a search window in the upper right - search for iPhoto
And your overall experiance is going to be much better if you take a few classes at your local Apple store and learn the basics of your mac - the things you are missing are amoung the most basic concepts

Sorry - this is NOT an online chat - it is a user to user support forum - patience is a virtue!
Do NOT expect resonses within 1 or 2 minutes - even if a volenteer is online it can take longer thatn that to type an answer
