iBook app will not install on iPad 1.

I just reset my iPad 1 on the recommendation of a Genius. Now the iBook app will not reinstall becase the OS version is not up to date. I have the latest available for the iPad 1. Is the a solution to this problem or are my purchases no longer available on my iPad?

Go to the App Store and find iBooks and download it should say not compatible with this OS and it give you a choice to download the newest iBooks supported for that iOS. If you dont get that option yourout of luck. You can also find it you have purchased the app but not updated it.
