Can you be more specific? How often does this occur? Does the screen come on when you press the power key and then it does not boot completely, stalling on a blue, white,or gray screen? Does it simply do nothing?
Occurs at approximately 8/9day intervals. No action when pressing power button. Base gets hot and on connecting power battery symbol shows little or no charge. Before no response battery had either full or 70plus percent charge. MacBook now at Apple Store for second check. First check found software(?) problem. Powered up ok for 7/8 days then problem returned. (Now in for check).
Post more when know result from Apple.

Any responses on this one? I have the same issue (twice so far). Tech replaced the power (SMC board) but it still happens from time to time. When it does comeback its for a few days as ample1312. Hardware check shows nothing. Only coincidental thing I noticed is that both events happened a few days after a software patch (with reboots and power downs in between). I'd be open to ideas to figure this one out.
