Question

Connect by Belkin from MBP/Retina to TV

I just bought a 'connect by bel kin' which transfers video to my HDTV.. I was told it transfers sound as we'll but so far I have not been able to figure this out. I am new to Mac so I do not know where I would look to change that. Any help?

First make sure your MacBook Pro is new enough to send audio over HDMI. Older ones did not. Check this list by Apple:

If your MacBook Pro doesn't make the cut, you'll need a separate audio cable running from the audio out port to an audio in port on your TV.
