Q: Why won't my MacBook Air let me change my password?

Hi, I tried changing my password and it came up with a window saying ' There was a problem with your password. It’s possible your system administrator doesn’t allow you to change your password. Contact your system administrator for help. '. I have only just worked out how to unfreeze my system preferences window and no it won't let me do this. Please Help.

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

You are using Mavericks now, right? The HT1274 article you attached applies only to much earlier versions of OS X.

No, I definitly have Mavericks, and this didn't help, but thanks for trying anyway. I hadn't tried that way yet.
