Q: what if the carrier provided does not offer unlocking service? how do i unlock my iphone? currently, Philippines' telcos don't offer unlocking service.

My iphone 4s is currently locked with Globe Telecom, one of the telcos in the Philippines. And my 2-year contract finally ended. I already asked them to unlock my iphone 4s and I also inform them that according to Support/Forum from Apple, "only your carrier can unlock iphone". They just simply answered, "No, we don't do unlocking". I asked them  "why?" and I stated the one I got from apple, which confuses me. They cannot give me enough reason why they don't do unlocking my phone. I hope to get any respose regarding my concern.
