Hooking up an iPad Air to a TV with component video input.

I'd like to be able to hook up the video output of my iPad Air to a TV that has a component video input. Can it be done? What cables do I need?

Thanks in advance!!

You can connect via a cable or wireless using an Apple TV.

Apple (and others) used to have Component AV cables with the 30-pin iPad

You might do a Google search to see if there is a Component AV cable for use with the iPad Air with the Lightning connector.

I thinjk this will work with the older Component AV cable http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD824ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter-02-m

Hi Tom!

Thanks for your reply.

I read the article you linked to at About.com. It doesn't mention an iPad Air, just an iPad. Does Apple TV support an iPad Air connection to a component TV input?

I just finished a Live Chat with an Apple rep and he said there's nothing they sell that can do it so, I'm confused now.

I'm beginning to do a lot of workshops at public schools in Toronto using my iPad Air and some of the schools have some pretty antiquated television systems.

Thanks again!

Cheers!
