Jan 6, 2014 11:51 AM in response to Cunningandyby the4given,Im having this problem with my Apple TV as well (gen 2). I have a cable modem, but since the wi-fi on it is garbage I have a Cisco router ehternetted to the cable modem and I'm running the wi-fi off of the Cisco router. I have a Mac mini, hard wired to the Cisco, running my iTunes with all of my shared movies with Home sharing enabled. My Apple TV is hard wired directly to my cable modem. The problem is that I have to disconnect my ethernet cable from the back of the appleTV to enable wi-fi to be able to stream anything from my iPad via Airplay. Not a huge deal, but is there a way to stream say Vudu on Safari via my Mac Mini, or anyother product hooked via ethernet to my home network, as the battery in my iPad barely lasts for two Sunday football games and baseball season is quickly approaching. It would be nice if they would put screen sharing on the apple TV, or at least screen mirroring of any device over ethernet (if its not already there somewhere).
