Q: Unlock my iPhone

I January 2013 I received unlock from AT & T and through ITunes my phone with IMEI 011984008006904 was successfully unlocked, but after the update of the operating system iTunes gives me the information that the phone is locked. What do I do and if you can help me!?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.3

Posting an IMEI number to a public forum is not very smart.

iTunes never states a phone is locked.  What is the precise wording of the message that appears after restoring the device.  Was it actually restored as new per the instructions provided by AT&T and in the article from which the posted was created?

I agree that writing IMEI did a stupid thing! But offensively received from AT & T unlock again in January 2013 to get a locked phone.

I seriously doubt that... the email they send is generic and very unoffensive.

Follow the explicit instructions in the email and the article from which this thread was started.  Basically, restore as new, not from backup.

I bought on eBay unlocking service in January 2013 and three days later received instructions to connect your phone to iTunes, then the phone was activated and there was an inscription such as: your phone is unlocked.

3 days ago I decided to update the IOS prompt iTunes wrote that the SIM is not supported and should insert native SIM (AT & T). That's the whole story!

The unlock you bought on eBay was a hack. When you updated your iOS,

the iPhone relocked to AT&T. Contact AT&T to get your iPhone legitimately unlocked.

Be advised the hack from eBay may prevent a legitimate unlock from succeeding,

and may render your iPhone unuseable in the future. Per Terms of Use for this forum,

discussion of hacked iPhones is prohibited. Google may provide some direction, but

you cannot get any help here.
