Q: using gift card for apple TV

I got a $100 gift card for apps when I bought my computer (not an i pad) so I would like to use it to rent movies on my apple tv. I redeemed it in iTunes but my apple tv doesn't give me the option to use the redeemed money. Please advise?

    Hello KimOLeary,

Thank you for your question. It sounds like you have $100 in credits redeemed to your Apple ID and would like to use that rent movies on your Apple TV. When you have these credits on your account they are used before your credit card when you make the purchase, theres nothing that you need to do to make that happen, it is automatic:

    Order of iTunes billing methods

When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.

Thank you-- I saw that when my purchase was emailed to me later.
