Mac mini not run on 2gb memory?

Hi


I use my Mac mini only connected to my tv and the only app i installed is VLC, nothing else.


Its very slow and i actually cant use it after updated to Maverics 10.9.1


Se the Activity control report WITHOUT ANY program running.


What is the problem, can i install OSX 10.6.8 on this Mac?


I have a Mac mini mid 2011

Processor 2,3 Ghz Intel Core i5

Memory 2GB 1333 Mhz DDR3

Intel HD Grphics 3000 288 Mhz

OSX 10.9.1

Look at the bottom of first Activity Monitor screen you posted. There is a yellow band labeled Memory Pressure. The yellow color indicates the system is likely to "page" memory out to the swapfiles on the hard drive and at the same time likely to be "paging" back into memory from the swapfile. That is a major slowdown and the primary cure for that is additional RAM. Ideally you want the Memory Pressure to be green which indicates you have enough memory that it is unlikely you will be paging out or in. If that band turns red then you seriously need more RAM because that would indicate you are almost constantly paging out and in.
