Stolen and bypassed my iPhone 5. HOW???

Hello community!

So, last year someone have stolen my iPhone with IOS 7, in iCloud i put lost and erase mode on. Now, a few months later i got the message from Apple:

"

Find My iPhone has been disabled on iPhone (******).
With Find My iPhone disabled, this device can no longer be located, placed in Lost Mode, or remotely erased using icloud.com/find or the Find My iPhone iOS app.
In addition, your Apple ID and password will no longer be required for someone to erase, reactivate, and use your iPhone.

"How is this possible? The phone has been the case the latest ios7 , the access code enabled , the Find My Phone on. E-mail password has been changed immediately as soon as I saw that the device had been stolen. It is not this basically mean that the phone can not be opened / reset / re-installed without the login with my own Apple ID from on a stolen phone? Or did I understand something wrong? So the phone has been stolen over 2 months ago and i got this email from Apple about a week ago. So somehow ios7 lost mode has been bypassed... Very sad.So does this mean that someone is in some way has discovered my Apple ID:s Password and set off the Find My Phone feature off? I wonder if there are any icloud / AppleID log, where i can see when and where for example, the IP address is made any activity on Apple ID account?

But how it's possible? I have changed all my passwords immediately, how the heck they discovered my Apple ID password and why it happened after two months after thief?

And btw, i have used different passwords to different services. For example my Apple ID password is unique. This is too crazy to understand even to moderate user. I know a lot about security. I just don't believe that someone have hacked my password. Is there any bypass methods to unlock iPhone5 (ios updated on October 2013).

This is absolutely ridiculous! I believed that IOS7 has a good enought security to disable using my phone and personal information if it get stolen by someone... Now I bought a brand new iPhone 5S, but now i'm too skeptical about Apples security, if anyone can just by calling Apple and bypass all "security" options I set to my phone and account.

What is the point of recommending to Apple users to use different secure methods, to prevent thiefs stealing and using phones and other Apple products if they can bypass them just by being "sneaky".

Apples promises has just invalidated in my eyes. Too bad, so sad. ➖

Thanks for the answers, guys!

By the way, after I got email that my Find My Phone was disabled, i got this email couple hours later:

"

Dear ******** **********,
Congratulations on your update to iOS 7. As an iCloud user, part of your upgrade includes new features built into Find My iPhone that make it harder for anyone else to use or sell your device if it is ever lost or stolen.
With Find My iPhone turned on in iOS 7, your Apple ID (******@*********) and password will always be required before anyone can:
Turn off Find My iPhone on your device.
Erase your device.
Reactivate and use your device.
There is nothing you need to do except to keep Find My iPhone turned on and remember your Apple ID and password. For more information, read the FAQ.
Note: As always, if you plan to give your device to someone else, make sure to erase all content and settings before transferring it to the new owner. This will remove the device from your account and allow the new owner to activate it. For more information, read What to do before transferring ownership of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

How ironic! BUT does this mean that someone is using my Apple ID on my old iPhone (possibly using my iCloud copy of the phone)? This thing is making me really crazy, because i got same email when i just upgraded to iOS7 from iOS6 about a month before my phone was stolen.

I tried to find out, if theres any contact form to contact Apple, but didn't find anything. It is really hard to me to discuss anything by phone in English. Is there any Finnish language phone? Do I need to have AppleCare to call them? I tried to buy AppleCare to my new phone but it says that it is not avaiable in my country.

Got really tangled about this 😢
