Is Mail.app supposed to filter and move spam to spam folder during power nap?

Spam doesn't seem to be moved for me on my mid 2013 Macbook Air during power nap. It remains in my inbox on all of my devices. As soon as I wake up the Macbook Air, it is moved to spam.
