Q: Why does a deleted Exchange account keep reappearing??

Months ago I deleted an exchange account. This account does not exist. Recently, I got a message stating my password for this acount was wrong. I checked and the account had added itself to Apple Mavericks Mail. I deleted it. It reappeared. I trashed it again. It rose from the dead. I simply cannot get rid of it. I do not like exchange. I do not want an Exchange Account. Why does this keep reappearing? I think this has something to do with iCloud Keychain. I have deleted from the keychain on my machine.
