Is it a good idea to put a Zagg shield on my ipad air? I have it in an Apple smart case.

I on the other hand have had one on for two years and love it. I have on on my iPod touch and ended up getting it replaced cause the screen protector scratched - but my ipod screen didn't.

Raymond is right, it's very much a personal preference. I look at it that I spent 500 bucks for this toy and I want to take care of it. I view it as protecting the resell value

It's easy to drop or damage your iPad Mini, so some kind of protection is a big help. The main joy, and problem, with a tablet is that the surfaces can be easily scratched, and breakage can be a real issue with a drop.

Raymond makes a good point, and I agree wtih him. A skin/shield is a great idea - but installation can be difficult, and it still only protects the surface. And the edges keep peeling, at least for me.
