I'm trying to transfer my iTunes library onto a new laptop via a hard drive. I've followed instructions on this site without success.

I've followed the instructions on here, and looked at some posters helpful tips, but they done seem to Work for me. The hurdle is getting the full library, which is mostly imported from CDs, onto the hard drive from my windows xp computer. I thought I had done this but only succeeded in transferring a fraction of my library across - it seems to be the newer albums in my collection.

I'm baffled. Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
