Migration Assistant problems

I have tried the migration process 3 times and failed each time. My PC shows in the Migration Assistant window on my Mac, but the Assistant seems to keep searching for another machine. The process hangs, even overnight.

I can't imagine that there are that many files on my PC that even an overnight process isn't long enough.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong??
