I am having trouble pairing my iPhone 5s with my Plantronics 500a Bluetooth headset. Never had diffiulty with the iPhone 4, but now that I have upgraded, it won't pair.
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4
Put the headset in pairing mode.
On the iPhone, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Connections.
Try pairing again.
Had tried that already. Didn't work. Tried it again, just to be sure. Still didn't work
Contact Plantronics for assistance, it may be necessary to delete existing pairings from the headset.
OK, I called Plantronics and it was an easy fix. You need to hold down the volume up button and the power button on (on the headset) at the same time until the lights on the headset start flashing red and blue. Then turn on the phone Bluetooth and it pairs up just fine.

What they had you do was put the headset in pairing mode. All bluetooth devices must be put into pairing mode to actually pair up.

I tried the volume + power button at the same time but didn't work for me... But I tried the volume up + volume down buttons together and it started pairing. So happy right now!
