Watch out for GuruAid.
They kept me on the phone for 2 hours, never fixed the problem and then tried to SELL me support. I think this is a rip off or scam of some sort.

Who are they? Why were you talking to them?
What do they (say) they do or sell?
How did they get you on the phone?
How does this relate to iTunes for Windows?
Chris, I called iTunes support becase I was unable to burn a few songs I had purchased to a CD. This was on Friday, January 3rd. I got cut off the first time and recalled getting another person. We talked for over an hour and no resolve. The next day he, George in India, called me back. I spent two hours on the phone with him. I was never able to to burn the CD. He pulled up my Notepad and proceeded to write me out an offer to handle my PC maintenance for 1 year for $169. At first I thought he was really trying to help me, but it became more obvious as time passed he was only concerned with making a sale. Since the problem was not resolved he said he would call me again later that day. By then I was so frustrated I did not answer when he called. He was nice, but kept telling me my Dell laptop had major problems with msconfig and over 200 errors. I have never had a bit of problems with this Dell, it is not even a year old, so I doubt that was the issue.
I really do appreciate your response to my post. It is nice to know that someone does pay attention. The issue is still not resolved, but after doing some additional research I hope to be able to correct it as soon as I have a few minutes.
Thanks!
PS, if I had the money I would own an Apple. The closest I can get is the fruit. 🙂
We would like to inform you that, GuruAid is a division of a 30-year old U.S. company (Lester Inc) based in Branford, CT. We are a leading independent technical support company, and our tech support division website makes it very clear that we are not affiliated with any computer or software product company. Its a paid support and we suggest our customer to sign-up for a maintenance plan as the issues might re-occur in the future and the maintenance plan safeguards the customer on incurring additional expenditure. The technician always checks if the issue is fixable and only suggests the customer to sign-up for maintenance plan if the issue is fixable remotely. Some of the issues we run into can be extremely complex and can sometimes take more than a few hours to diagnoze and fix. While 98 % of the time we successfully resolve the customers problem, on occasions we fall short of the standards we have set for our self. Regards, GuruAid

I'm very suspicious of Guruaid - also known as Geekstechhelp.com
They just got my mom(not tech savvy) to shell out $600.00 for a "lifetime" of support for their software.
Somehow they found several thousand viruses on her mac. (red flag) Macs don't have viruses - that's why we don't own a PC 🙂
Even though it's says it's a VA company, she could only talk to someone from a foreign country - India (red flag)
If you look at any of their reviews, you'll see one truthful 'this is a scam company' review for one star,
and then several five star reviews by brand new commentors. (another red flag, this is getting exhausting....)
They installed their own software so they could remote in at any time(HUGE red flag)
I'm having my mom dispute the charge with her CC agency - they said they'd help to reverse all charges if they appear -
I'm also having her do a clean install and change all of her bank and CC passwords as I'm extremely suspicious of what they can access.
Please, before you purchase anything from these guys - just google "GuruAid Support Scam" - and you'll see why.
Good luck!
