Which video (movie) formats are supported by Ipad air?

It can take several hours to process a movie for iPad.

There are several free tools you should have: VLC Player, Handbrake, and Handbrake Batch. Use either of the Handbrakes to process the video; the movies you end up with should be around 2GB each. If you have a bunch of movies, batch it with Handbrake Batch.

The amount of time to process a movie will vary on their size, but the time to process a movie will roughly equal the length of the movie itself. The movies will end up in mp4 or m4v format, which are playable on your iPad.

Handbrake is free and safe, you may have a try. Beside, aneesoft video converter can convert HD videos with high quality. And freemake is also good choice for you.

you could use an additional player... so you don´t have to convert the video files for hours...
