Are there know issues with application switching to maverick from 10.6.8

Absolutely not to PS CS2. But yes to CS3.

There are issues with many older applications that run on 10.6 that don't run as smooth on Mavericks. Usually recommend reinstalling if possible. Going into the Library Folder hinden under GO in Finder (hold down option) and into preferences. Delete the Applications Plists will fix things, sometimes only temporarily.

Photoshop CS2 is a PowerPC Application. It only runs under 10.6.8 due to Rosetta. It will NOT run on any later versions, because Rosetta support is discontinued.

Upgrade it or lose it. Or stay with 10.6.8.
