Can't connect/discover through Bluetooth

My Apple TV is not discovering my other Apple devices through Bluetooth. I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad Mini. I turned Bluetooth on for both devices, and the Apple TV, but they won't find each other. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

Welcome to the Apple Community PSKpickle.

They aren't supposed to connect through bluetooth (that's for keyboards only), you need to use wifi to connect your other devices.
