Q: Problem installing Windows 7, freezing at "completing installation"
Hi,
I have a mid 2010 macbook pro (version 10.9.1) and uses bootcamp version 5.1.0.
I have searched this forum for answers for my problem but i couldn't find none. I have, however, tried all the tips i could find to solve the problem but none of the have worked..
The problem is that, during the windows installation (via bootcamp) of windows it freezes at "completing installation". The ironic thing here is that i was forced to delete my old working windows partition because the one that was installed had just 35 gig allocated and I need 50 gig.. When I earlier installed this 35 gig "version" i remember i had many difficulties to install it and after 4-5 tries i remember that resetting the nvram / pram helped. I have now tried 5-6 times to install windows with exacly the same autentic windows DVD that i used last time but it just freezes..
What i have tried so far:
- resetting nvram / pram
- Plug in an external keyboard and continuesly pressing a key during the last phrase of the installation
- Eject the DVD during the last restart
- Cleaned the DVD
Do anyone have any solution for this problem? I seems like a very common problem, why is it like that??
