Apple TV does not appear on iPhone Bluetooth

I'm trying to set up my Apple TV 3 in my holiday home but I forgot to bring the remote control. I've reset the Apple TV using iTunes but can't get my iPhone to see the Apple TV in Bluetooth so that I can set it up as per article HT5900. The restore of the ATV should mean that it is on the latest version of its software and the iPhone is on version 7.0.4.

Any help would be much appreciated.
